The Foundation

Purpose
The Pollock-Krasner Foundationís mission is to aid, internationally, those individuals who have worked as artists over a significant period of time. The Foundationís dual criteria for grants are recognizable artistic merit and financial need, whether professional, personal or both.

Lee Krasnerís Legacy
It is appropriate to recognize how significant Lee Krasnerís legacy has been in the creation of this Foundation by helping to stabilize and to strengthen the careers of artists, not to mention their personal lives as they do their creative work.

History of the Grant Program
The Foundation is pleased to report that since its inception in 1985, it has awarded 3,850 grants totaling over 58 million dollars to artists in 75 countries.

These countries include Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, England, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mexico, Namibia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Togo, Trinidad, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Uruguay, Viet Nam, Wales, Yugoslavia (Former), and Zimbabwe.
